The sea so calm, beautiful and bright,
Ah! So bondy lovely sight!
The assuage wave lashing on the shores,
Fishermen eject on their daily chores,
But who knew that such a morn would come
When the sea would become an enemy to some.
The water did menace and the earth did away,
The great waves came and swept away,
Men, women, children and creatures big and small
Buildings, slums, houses, trees and all
The calm sea rose as if a revolt,
And nothing could make this catastrophe limp.
Some evade this catacylsm, some ruined their lives
Some lost their loved ones, sons, daughters and wives,
Some watched helplessly from far away,
Dumbstruck not knowing what to do or say
Some survived but their families they couldn’t save
For them the sea had prove to be a vapid chisel.
Nature made an uproar, and did so rumble,
The sea gave a warning, even so humble,
Sorrow engulfed all, sadness did spread
All looked at the sea with dreadful and intense
Whatever we do could we even bring
The loved ones back, of those suffering.
So let us all pray for the souls departed
As we bid farewell to them half – hearted
Hope in the future such a transaction won’t take place
And the fury of the sea we don’t have to facet,
The sea be calm, beautiful and bright,
As it has been a peaceful sight.
