The Champ

The Champ short poem

One of the greatest boxers on earth he was also the wisest
Quick to move and landing lethal blows was what he did best
Swing like a butterfly and sting like a bee was what he did so fast
He would fake a right hook and get you with the left at last
With reflexes like lightning and a crushing blow that could make you blast
But be aware just one mistake and he could lose concentration on his quest
Only the wise will win at first or at last
You have to be much smarter than your opponent to beat him so fast
The best are the ones that the ten rounds will last
And it’s not whether you get knocked down but whether you get back up in a flash
So be wise my friends and never take your eyes off of the task.
