Violence short poem

Some people instigate violence as a means to intimidate and always get their way
And do not care who they hurt as long as they make their pay
Others just get drunk and do not even remember a thing the next day
And many cover it up and just hope the violence will go away
And only the strong of heart and the patient are able to struggle hard to find peace every day
Yes, my friend, it’s true that making peace is not for the faint hearted to try as they may
Yet few truly understand the agony, despair and suffering that loving relentlessly requires day by day
Still, all that struggle is but a drop in the bucket anyway
But if someone does not try than what is the way?
Peace will only come to those who are not afraid to say
And not to the faint hearted who rather turn a cheek and be on their way
So, my friend, get up, take stand and let your voice be heard today
And for all those who suffered let us pray.
