Falling For You

Falling For You short poem

I am falling for you.
Just don’t know how to tell you

I fear that I will lose you.
Just don’t know how to be next to you

Call me when you realize
our afterlives are in sync

My heart says we were together before
and we are united by the past.

The universe weaved our stories
long before stars bring us into this world.

Time is in a hurry to see the end
of our story, that is yet to begin.

So why are you hiding?
Let loose and fly high above your dream.

Beautiful romantic poem. Good cadence.

Nycolei Ann Baydal

I had flashbacks of that one person who made “us” feel so extraordinary. That feeling – “I have found my soulmate.”

There is a shade of the Oriental Thought on reincarnation. The Chinese has this belief that people bound to meet or has a connection in past lives are bound by a thread that will never break no matter how entangled. This is interpreted by some as the workings of soulmates, or what is thought by the Fatalists as Destiny. Whatever the case, it seems that life is just a recycling of past lives. Thought-provoking poem.
