Words short poem

I want to speak with you.
I want to know all about you
I want to listen to your story
I am as curious as you.

Sometimes words aren’t enough
to convey all that is inside.
Sometimes words let me down
I can’t tell you my side.

But what if….. These words just disappear.
Just like that, into the thin air.
How would I talk to you?
How would I express myself?
I can’t begin to construe

The words come to my rescue
when I am angry or hurt.
They come to my rescue
when I have emotional outbursts.
These words come to my rescue
and help me express my love.
They help me to reach you
and tell you my thoughts.

These words convey
feelings, knowledge, thoughts and incidents.
They convey our forefathers’ wisdom,
their actions, their intent.

Sometimes words are used
To propagate unforgivable untruths.
Sometimes words are just read or heard,
but not really understood.

Sometimes our words are
hurtful and spread distress and hate.
Still these words are a precious gift
for they help us to communicate.

Those Unsaid Words

Those Unsaid Words short poem

I learned to hold all my feelings inside until late at night. I covered my mouth with my hands so that no one could hear my tears. I perfected my fake smile. Today, after so many days, painfully enough, but
