Depression Sucks

My Childhood Was Depressing, I am talking about dolphins with no water depressing, fishes with no fins depressing, candy with no flavor depressing, I mean so depressing that I grew up wondering if happiness ever existed in this place we call HOME.
What does happiness feel like?
Does it taste as good as grandma’s summer foods?
Does it smell like flowers that are freshly picked?
What does it sound like?
Or is happiness as depressing as depression!
Nothing ever felt good living under a homeless home.
Not even when my friends would ask me to go out and play.
What is playing outside?
Sometimes I would wake up to my parents yelling, asking who was going to do the dishes or front lawn today!
When at the end of the day no one was going to get it done..
My Childhood Was Depressing, I am telling you so depressing I would DIE to get to school each and every day, so depressing I loved when I got to stay home ALONE or When my parents said I had to go stay the weekend with Grandma Johns!
Parent’s were always mad at eachother
Siblings always arguing about chores
Dogs always sitting out on the porch, all alone.
Silence would echo in our homeless home
Pain was written all over our walls
Loneliness was our secret ingredient
Fear roamed the kitchen hall
My Childhood Was Depressing, I mean ruthless depressing, I could get hit by a car; start bleeding and they’d send me off to the hospital all alone.. And then call a cab to pick me up from my dying bed..
I Wish They Looked At Life The Way I Do..
I Wish They Would Pick Me Up When I Had Fallen..
I Wish They Helped Me Pick My Broken Heart Up..
I Wish They Knew I Felt The Same Pain They Do..
I Wish.. I Wish That’s All People Ever Do……
I WISH UPON A STAR THAT I WOULD OF NEVER HAD A DEPRESSING CHILDHOOD!!
Nothing helps.. They continue to act the same
Everyone is so used to being in pain
If only life was the way God had said it would be, but now that I think about it life is the way God planned it to be..
I AM STRONG
I AM FAITHFUL TO MYSELF
I AM BOLD
I AM ME
I SPEAK MY OWN TRUTH
I LOVE THE WORLD
I ENJOY HOW DEPRESSING MY CHILDHOOD WAS
LOOK AT ME NOW
LOOK HOW SMART I AM
LOOK AT THE AMAZING PERSON I HAVE BECAME
I HOPE MY PARENTS SEE WHAT HORROR THEY PUT ME THROUGH MY WHOLE LIFE
BUT LOOK WHO I AM TODAY..
I AM THE BEST AND I WILL ONLY GET BETTER, IT SHAPED ME TO BE THE GREATEST HUMAN EVER..
Thank you mom and dad for ruining my childhood, but today I am great because of all my pain and I will one day hear you proudly say that YOU ARE PROUD OF ME

Depression

Depression short poem

Hope burns bright…lighting the way through the darkness…it vanishes…dreams of tomorrow, torn away…walls crumble…and he who dwells amongst the shadows…strikes without warning…his poison fills me…corrupting my body, my mind, my soul…forced to suffer…a captive made…chained, forever cursed…my nightmare, a twisted
