The Bleeding Heart

The Bleeding Heart short poem

The Bleeding Heart short poemPhoto by Sam Hearn

The heart that pains is the one that bleeds
Its wounds last for a lifetime to be
The more it tries to hide its scars
It aches more than the pain before
Sealing its doors without an entrance
The heart frustrates in sorrow
Every human has to feel this way
Once in a lifetime or so
As life is as one describes
An endless journey to complete,
Through the paths of misery and joy.
Once a man chooses the special one in life
Slowly he gives the key to his heart to her
Taking time he opens the doors
Making a relief to his pain in life
Later the bleeding of his heart slows
As it has found something special
To take hold of the bleeding heart
Yes it is what we all desire
We name it with blushing cheeks
Nothing so ever than love
It is through love that one learns
To share the sorrows of bleeding heart
To someone so special in life
To share the pain sorrow and joy
With that person you desire in life
So special that nothing can compare
To share the special moments in life.
