Festivals short poem

Festivals short poemUploaded by Ramapriya Nr

Festivals come and Go

The Rich celebrate with gusto
The middle class try to appease God and they celebrate too
The poor and down trodden left wondering what is it all about

When your kitty and tummy is filled you celebrate the festival as a hobby
When you are struggling to make both ends meet still you go ahead with rituals albeit the fear of getting cursed
When you have nothing to offer you celebrate the festival from the alms thrown by the goodies

Festival for the rich is an entertainment
Festivals for the middle class is a must
Festival for the poor and down trodden is a blessing in disguise

Human beings are like puppets who dance to the tunes of the almighty

Festivals are like drinking liquor

The rich taste that as scotch
The middle class as whisky
the poor as a country liquor

mind you the poorest of the poor is the ultimate beneficiary of the out come of the festivals
