Wives Of The East

Wives Of The East short poem

Uploaded by Narsingh Rai

Here in the eastern part of our world
the sun rises early
and we wake up late
by evening we become dogs
and our wives turns into lamp-posts
every night we lose our sense
to smell our way back home
so we need some light to see
and a post to pee
although we presume ourselves all alive
and our wives dead-meat
all over the western world
we are known for poking noses
and raising our legs
while our wives are known to
wait, wait, wait and illuminate.
