Hope short poem

The best gift we can give is the gift of HOPE,
To leave someone encouraged by the words we spoke,
It doesn’t cost a penny it just takes a little time,
To let them share their story and maybe I’ll share mine.

When someone feels so dark that they cannot see the sun,
They used to feel some HOPE but these days there is none,
They used to see some purpose but now they see no point,
What’s the point in trying when they know they disappoint.

To share a little HOPE is to share some of yourself,
To share with them the message that it’s okay to need help,
To share with them the journey perhaps you have been on,
And how you found some HOPE when you felt your HOPE was gone.

HOPE can be the difference between the good and bad,
To leave a person feeling more happy than more sad,
It maybe is a concept they find a little strange,
So help them to believe that things can really change.

So if you meet somebody remember what you say,
For in your words they might find the highlight of their day,
Help them find some calm in the chaos in their head,
Help them find in everything there’s always HOPE instead.
