Sad Truth‬

Sad Truth‬ short poem

Uploaded by Reinhold Mangundu

They first used to respect me
Before they didn’t know me
It’s only when they knew me
That they started abusing me
Knowledge made them evil
I’m talking about the people
They studied geology
Now they are hurting me with technology
Removing everything I possess
Now I am all a mess
What hurts is what they leave behind
And they don’t even mind
From emissions to Erosions
From droughts to floods
From heat spells to dry wells
From freezing seas, to melting seas
So ignorant, they still continue
But if only they knew
I cannot be renewed
Truth be known
The end is near
To pay the price
Of the melting ice
