Going For The Gold

Going For The Gold long poem

Well now and I’m Going for the Gold
Not standing in the shadows
Giving it my heart and soul
Up the mountain, down the road
New found determination, no
Competition, first edition
Not standing, not standing
In the shadows ‘cuz here I go
Here I go going for the Gold
Well and I will not settle for
Second best go on now and put me
To the test, I will not give up, I will
Not give in no, and I will not give up
I’ve still got too much life to live
And love to give so hold on ‘cuz
Here I go, here I go
Going For the Gold
Not standing in the shadows
Giving it my heart and soul
Up the mountain, down the road
New found determination, no
Competition, first edition
Not standing, not standing
In the shadows ‘cuz here I go
Here I go going for the Gold
It’s just not in my nature to
Back down from a challenge
No, I can do anything I set my mind to
Just stand back now and watch me
Make all my dreams come true
If it’s the last thing I do
When I get something in my head
That’s that so you just stand back
And watch me, watch me now
Going For the Gold
Not standing in the shadows
Giving it my heart and soul
Up the mountain, down the road
New found determination, no
Competition, first edition
Not standing, not standing
In the shadows ‘cuz here I go
Here I go going for the Gold

Empty Pockets And A Heart Full Of Gold

Empty Pockets And A Heart Full Of Gold long poem

I have empty pockets, and a heart full of gold. A family of eight, and friends new and old. I have blisters and bruises and cuts on my hands, no food for my family, and no wealth in my land.

There is a certain feeling that arrives soon as the thought approaches. A sort of dream like feeling that comes to take over what ever mood, What ever presence that is shallowly felt. In truth it’s the best part of
