Trance

Trance short poem

I am a page 3 wife

Of four walls and malls am I
Of gyms and diets
Of spas and sunscreen
Of color on my tips and toes
Of blusher on my cheeks
Of the smudge free kohl
Of bags and jewels am I
And when all is done
I get my hair done
Of car pools and classes
Of nannies and tutors
Of supermarkets and bakeries am I
Of poses and flashbulbs
Of lbds and stilettoes
Of champagne and air kisses
Of discoes and neon lights am I

And when all is done
When I can
I shed that skin
And grab my garb
In a shell devoid of neon
I lift my arms and spin
Spin
And
Spin till I reach trance
And I am one with Life
