Friend, Woman

Friend, Woman long poem

Today, my friend,
You mirrored those hurts,
Those painful struggles,
Those heartbreaks, sighs and cries,
Yet, you hid your tears,
Smiled,
And even laughed,
Cracking jokes,
As if I don’t know
What you helplessly tried,
Dear dear friend,
I know as our boats move,
We share the same waters
Same tides, same streams,
Same shores and same breeze,
Let me extend this hand,
And wipe them,
If I can,
Do allow,
For there is one soul,
In this world,
You can rely on.
I have no magic wand
To erase,
Those deep wounds,
Cuts and scars,
That Time gave,
I know that,
But a little space,
You may call
My heart.
…………………………………..

Now,
Little time
And lost
Memories converge,
Tides have a way of speaking
With rise and fall
With heart beats
Caught in madness
Lashing waves tell stories
Of so much love and pain!

……………………………..
Did not see –
Darkness descend
On silent rocks or water
A grand spell of orange dusk!
A day’s story over
They disappear in flight
There is no one here
But this untied horse in wilderness.
…………………………………………..
Rains. They float like ants. On disturbed waters. So tiny, confused and defeated. They huddle. Those little wet birds. On dark trees. And under. Voices drown in fear.
…………………………………………………………………………………….

This illusion,
She spreads her net.
Such hands!
Such gaze!
At once gentle and delicate
Whirls of colours on the waves,
Frightening,
Yet stunning,
She casts a spell
Who can escape?!
Such is the design
We fall prey,
Get entangled,
Yet enjoy, live,
Lose ourselves,
In that little boat
In the vastness.
