Still Waiting

Still Waiting short poem

Well we were over years ago
I just wish somebody would tell
my heart…you’ve moved on with
your life and I know our love will
never come again so why can’t I
learn to let you go and get on
with my life again…
instead of always just sitting home
alone by the phone hoping you’ll
call and dreaming that there’s still
a chance for you and me but I must
be crazy ‘cuz I know I’m only
dreaming, dreaming of an old, old
flame…wasting my time, hoping
you’ll change your mind but I’m
Still Waiting, waiting and waiting
in vain…
what’s wrong with me I know
you belong to someone else now
but if I could I would cast a spell
on you to make you love me again
but I must be crazy ‘cuz I know I’m
only dreaming, dreaming of an old,
old, flame…wasting my time, hoping
you’ll change your mind but I’m
Still Waiting, waiting, waiting in vain!
