Before It’s Too Late

Before Its Too Late short poem

Uploaded by Hope Donahue

Her name tells of how it was with her.
The sadness and anxiety came with a blur.

With little to love and a lot to think
The harder she thought, the more she would drink.

More pills and more booze sinking into her veins,
She eventually began to dwell in the pain.

Tears pouring heavily out of her eyes
Trying to wipe them high in disguise.

Although she went through so much heartbreak
She was actually thought of as somebody’s mistake.

The day that someone asked what was wrong,
Was the day she transformed into something more strong.

An angel in heaven With much more to love,
Was finally in a state where she was actually thought of.
