Tears long poem

Tears can be happy or tears can be sad,
To embrace the good or regret the bad,
They can be a sure sign of letting go,
Trusting your heart when your head says no.

Tears can show wisdom where there is no sense,
Releasing the angst from where you feel tense,
Releasing frustration when you want to scream,
Or when you are frightened awake from a dream.

Tears show compassion where there is cruel,
Tugging your heartstrings, push and then pull,
Sometimes we are forced to live with regret,
Accepting it’s time that we did forget.

Tears say hello and tears say goodbye,
We watch life be born and we can watch life die,
Sometimes we wonder if it’s worth the pain,
Then something happens and we smile again.

Tears say I love you when there are no words,
They help us make sense of what seems absurd,
They say they’re a sign that you’ve held on too long,
So cry and know you don’t have to be strong.
