The Thread

The Thread short poem

Uploaded by Delores Noal

There is a thread so slender, connecting mother and child together,
For eternity it will hold them fast, forever and ever it will last

As the days and months and years go by, some things will make you happy, others will make you cry,

Some days are all sunshine and play, sometimes its a dark and rainy day

And as our lives grow, reaching out, learning and teaching what its all about, the threads are always there to see, woven in a tapestry

The tapestry of our lives you see, is evidence for you and me, That we were blessed with life from God above, He gave me you to love

Now the thread has grown much longer, and it has gotten even stronger, We are all connected by this thread, in lifes tapestry made of love.

A Threads Tale prose poem

I am just a thread. I came out of the fibers of a tree older than letters, or – maybe – out of a cotton plant thrown by chance winds into a field where stones, flowers, thorns and wheat multiply,
