Atypical World

Atypical World short poem

A fancy tale
of fairies and wings,
white worlds,
blue stars,
and cabbages and kings.

Red dust,
grey planet
of quintessential beings,
where the deaf hear melodies
and the dumb man speaks.

On fine wines,
the fellows dine.
All sass, no crass
and tongues too glib,
their world as small as a baby’s crib.

Their light too bright
for a dreary eye
and honest minds
with lips – unlie.

The dream so real,
though the story ends,
which I do not needlessly extend.

And the grey planet
with the dust so red
still holds kings
in their royal beds.
