Orphan

Orphan long poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

I Go crying to my Mom to get her attention and solace
even when there is a slight scratch on my body
I shout at my siblings if they neglect me
I get angry with Dad when he forget to bring what little i asked
I feel miserable at the slightest discomfort in spite of me
being loved and cared by my parents and siblings

I have no idea how those children Live
without the care and attention of the family
I don’t even think there are millions of children
who are orphans and have none to care for

Chance meeting of an orphan changed my world
Here is his story so bitter to listen…

I am an orphan left to fend my life
I have none in this world of my own but
have a lot of memories to remember

None can read the whole story of my life,
My life will be an illusion before every ones eyes
I can never get any assurance from anybody
This is the saddest story of my plight

One can only argue with me all the time
but none can love me as ones sister or brother do
Sympathy I get in plenty
But it is neither love nor a promise

I wander through roads holding all those urchins
I may get an asylum for a while
I may get a life like the real-life by courtesy of some Samaritan

I am the priority to get abuses from one and all
None bothers if I am taken as the child-worker
None care for me if I become a prey to drug addiction
No one is there for me to guide me in the right path
None bothers to check whether I am dying out of starvation
while the well of are not even ready to part
even a little waste of their left over dinner.

I end up as the child of deadly diseases
I have no Birth days to celebrate but sure
I can count on my death day which I pray
come at the earliest opportunity to get me
rid of the trauma called Orphan ..

Tell me now, who’s having a lot of memories
an orphan like me or a fortunate like you
