The wait continues,
And it continues still,-
Sick of the happenings,
My mind echoes “Release”
I’ve travelled much, halted more;
Failures and eddies – O they were so much more.
My mind is not my friend,
It incites agony, as it creates a mess
With toxic memories and filth of the brain.
A friend lost, a friend no more,-
Dreams shaken, woes untold.
Yes, the climb, it’s there but something is missing still,
These short peaks, though try hard,
Well can’t ignite the fire within.
It seeks for release and I do shout,
But I don’t get my calling as my demons do pounce.
With friends becoming contacts and contacts blurring still,
The hope continues, as the blinds are drawn on sills.
My mind cries, not my eyes,
The heart is still young, it still yearns a fight.
Maybe I’m not too far, but its the wait that kills,
Sacrificing emotions have inflamed the impatient heart.
The fighter in me bangs on the drums,
Shouting war cries to far and beyond!
Give me scars, give me pain,
Give that friend back, as I chain myself in frame.
I know I can’t be normal, but I simply don’t care:
I need to reach the light, for the price is too high.
I know roses are red, but all I see are thorns,-
But they don’t scare me, as all my fingers are numb.
You simply can’t win, unless you are ready to die,-
This fighter is strong, O I assure you indeed.
Flowers will come, the silver lining too,
Those years shall be avenged and the smile shall come back too;
Its just the wait that haunts and scares.
O when it comes, How much I fear!
Fill me up with that liquid of life,-
That dried up when my dreams got fried.
I’ve clawed back up, yes my nails are wasted,
But it’ll grow, it’ll grow, O just wait and see,-
The wait, the wait- that’s all I see.
