In Memory Of A Centurian

In Memory Of A Centurian long poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

The ever youthful never sober,
always cheerful and smiling,
a man of solid virtues and discipline
bid adieu to this world of umpteen wonder
after scoring a memorable century
to the disappointment of thousands of his admirers

Nelamangala Venkataraman Sharma the
legend and my father figure breathed his last on 17th Jan 2016

Sir, you were life, your journey was
a fairy tale to emulate and every
step you stamped on the way
has left an indelible mark for
others to follow and you have
set a high bench mark for generations
to tread on with flying colours
Like you always wanted to

Now you have taken off to fly forever
over the skies of azure blue

We’ll see your rainbow of colourful smiles
when every ray of sunshine pierces through the rain

We will hear the echo of your laughter over all the pain

There is quietness all over now
The colourful fresh flowers have lost their hue
The birds are singing in a sober mood
The hearts of near and dears are missing you

Whenever we think of you, tears are sure to trickle
and we gently have to wipe that out

Salute to the man worth the existence in total

Memory Walk short poem

Wanted to visit old lanes for a mocking bird. A luminous proxy wanted to play a game. Treachery flees from the trees and settles on the white wings of flying swans. No logarithm will stop to watch the invisible numbers
