Lost And Found

Lost And Found long poem

Uploaded by lauracroftme

Yes, a soul it was
Unscathed by the touches of emotion
Yes, a soul it was
At the nascent stage
Of an emotional touch

Days went by
And the unblemished soul
Had now streaks of various hues such as:
A sense of belonging,
A sense of possession,
A sense of envy,
A sense of longing to be longed for

The soul was no longer unscathed
It was white no more
Several hues had made their mark
On the pure white soul

Like the taut string
That loses its elasticity
The soul gave up one fine day
But, ‘hey’, the soul wondered to itself
Can I be alluded to but as a taut string?

But what was done was done
The soul no longer receded to the place where it once was
Going back was not an option
But moving on was far more impossible

Lo, the soul was stuck in the gap between
The going back
And the moving on
The soul was ‘lost’

The soul imprisoned itself in that place called ‘LOST’
A choice it took on it’s own
It regretted over its inability
Of being no longer capable of painting itself
In vibrant hues
It felt no feel
It became nonchalant

The horrible night was coming to an end
And twilight was slowly creeping in
The tired (read, experienced) soul
Realized that it by itself
Was a mixture of all hues
White, the mixture of all hues
It understood that it was strong and complete in its own way
The soul ‘FOUND’ itself.
