The quest for the truth,
followed with a thousand questions.
No one knew if it bore a fruit,
overcast with a few suggestions.
Was it a lie from the start,
or did it change in due course?
But it surely was a poisonous dart,
that came with penetrating force.
Why did it all have to seem a tale,
in midst of this heavy rushing life?
But it surely is too old and stale,
those words of promise of making me your wife.
The smiles, the laughter, they echoed,
through the corridors of my heart.
But a fool was I, unable to decode,
the truth behind those words of art.
I sit under the sky, trying to understand,
was it all too easy to walk in and out?
With the heavy wind blowing, I can’t stand,
but my eyes tear all because of doubt.
My heart it was, that was filled with trust,
and love and affection in loads.
All you did was to take it and thrust,
in a way, like it knew no roads.
But, the fool, you are, and no one else,
to think your lies, made you smile.
You will smile, you will smile and nothing else,
‘Coz if not now later you will know, that the love that came
and you let it go, is now away by a mile and more.
