Enlightened Man

Enlightened Man short poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

Today I wish none of my old

acquaintances speak to me

My past life has trapped me in misery

and I am totally immersed in pain

Those past sweet memories have turned bitter and

I wish the past life is completely erased from my memory

Now I have a new world and would like to forget those old memories

neither I have the mind nor inclination

to remember the bygone days and I feel

I am free from the sins I might have committed in the past

All those bondages of love are broken

I am no longer chained in love with her

There is no image left of her in the mirror

of my Eyes and now I am a free man

Life has changed and the world has changed for me

and an unusual peace has struck my mind

Today my mind has identified a new person in me

Now I have come to a place away from my old identity and

I have slipped away from even God’s attention and I feel

I am now a better and enlightened human being
