World Peace At Stake

World Peace At Stake short poem

People are celebration friendly
Celebrate when life shortens too
Dancing, swinging and singing
Saying happy birthday to you.

People are celebration friendly
Celebrate at the end of each year
Romping, waltzing and caroling
Wishing you happy new year.

People know the new year
Will be no different from earlier
Still spare time to celebrate
This annual event every year.

Why then they hate and envy?
Why they fight like born foes?
Why they forego celebrations
And rush to each other’s throats?

Does it mean people are human
But within have beasts wilder
Who bolt out roaring and gnawing
Pouncing on and devour each other?

Today inner devils are awake
Bringing world order in peril.
They give not slightest thought
If happens so where’ll they dwell?

Nay! Such beasts have no mind
They’re just for communal clashes.
I say let it be so to give humanity a
Chance to rise afresh out of its ashes.

Every sensible and sensitive person feels the same way ,Dr Bhardwaj , the question you ask is what torments many of us . Peace is the most cherished thing ever and anything going against it is really ,really painful, more so when criminal and sinful acts are done in the name of God and religion ,

My poem ‘All in the name of God’ voices similar feelings ,It seems heartening to know that some one ,somewhere ,feels alike and cares to express oneself .Thanks for your good wishes .

Peace short poem

Peace-inner condition of mind- a quiet flowing river of invisible waves, sea wave of righteousness, money can’t buy. Peace-tranquility upon soul- calmness upon mind and body; those-you love-their home you make a resting place, your haters-upon them are disquiet and
