Intoxication short poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

Under the milky moon light
With Cool Air breezing gently all round
Twinkling of stars up the horizon
Light background music playing
Heaven appeared an inch away

Holding the clean empty Glass
Filling the glass with wine
Sipping it leisurely
intoxication rising at snail’s pace
Romantic mood sinking in

Kissing the glass tip
feeling as if it is a soft lip
Sip of wine appearing as
the most beautiful gift the
nature has bestowed

Imagining romancing with
his dream girl and telling
her not to exhibit shyness and
waste her youthful precious moment
but understand the passionate message
his heartbeat is signalling her

Why do you denounce me
after all I am only drunk
To put down the Good and
project them as Bad is the
old crooked way of the world
Treat not this drunkard in bad light
Only this drunkard can Love you the most
