The Rewind Button

The Rewind Button short poem

Uploaded by Delores Noal

Our lives are on fast forward
Speeding by so fast
There is no rewind button
To take us to the past

What I wouldn’t give
To restore those early days
I would spend more time with you
In every way

How many things have been forgotten
How many did I miss
How many days went by
With only a goodnight kiss

Just yesterday you were a baby
all smiles and chubby cheeks
Now you are grown
It seems like just a few weeks

Often, times we take for granted
blend into long lost years
The witness to my sadness
A pillow soaked with tears

Of course I am happy for you
Living your own life
Being a gentle mother
and a loving wife

Not a single day goes by
that I don’t regret
not finding
that rewind button yet

I still remember how it felt
To hold you in my arms
And when your child is grown
You will see how much

That rewind button, would have meant to me.

Rewind Pause Repeat short poem

Some days are easy but most days are hard, I take my self back there each night, It seem that I’ll forever be scarred, Just because I never put up a fight. Screaming yet I did not make a sound,

The Red Button

The Red Button short poem

A human myself, I would push the red button. For having seen into man’s heart, Brimming with evil. Black, Rotten. Eliminating them now, Preventing perhaps. Unending sadness, Shielding the unborn. From humanity’s touch, Painted with madness. The red button, Gleaming
