I’ll start with some foundation for this provides my base,
It helps hide any blemish that I find upon my face,
It smooths out any wrinkles, it softens up my skin,
I need to match the shade I need before I shall begin.
I need to pick my eyeshadow, which colour shall I choose,
The colours are so vital to ensure that they diffuse,
This is my key feature just to open up my eyes,
When I’m feeling dead inside this makes me look alive.
A little touch of blusher is most definitely required,
It gives a little glow when I am feeling tired,
A picture of health is what my blusher always shows,
So that way if I’m not then no-one else will know.
My eyes may need mascara, each lash it does extend,
My eyes appear engaging so a message they can send,
The message that I’m ready and that I invite your gaze,
When I’m wearing mascara my disguise is how it stays.
I need to check my make up so I have another look,
I cannot fail to notice that for all the time it took,
There’s still a little spot in need of some correction,
I take out my concealer to perfect my own complexion.
The next stage is the last for it’s where my story ends,
It’s the final declaration of the memo that it sends,
My lipstick choice is vital for it compliments my face,
Now I can face the world because my make-up is in place.
