Broken

Broken short poem

Uploaded by Min Wil

If only I could vanish from your prying eyes
I would slip away into a dream of mines
I’d return unto a time from long ago
A time before I fell below

below your feet where I’m stepped upon
What happened to our joyous bond?
I never thought I’d see the day
when our love turned from red to gray

I plead to you to not follow me
please let me go, please let me be
I’ve given you all I have
I no longer smile nor do I laugh

If only I could become a memory to you
instead I linger on in your world of blue
Why must you keep me locked away in a cell?
I must find a way to break away from this hell

For now I guess I will keep on dreaming these dreams
keep tossing and turning and crying these streams
you’ve forgotten who you were before this
Have you forgotten your vows and promissory kiss?
