The Islands Liberated

The Islands Liberated long poem

I saw a place with a thousand islands
Stretching from the clouds to the deep
Meeting people with talents of grand
Liberated together, not by a pity demand

A picture popped through my head
Filled with colors blue and red
A place that was very soar
A veteran I was at war

I erased the darkness in my mind
And thought of the people, so kind
Now I truly know who I am
Offspring of three people liberated

Once a girl who cried before
Now, a lady with joy, she store
She destroyed the tyrant’s wall
Screaming ‘All for one, One for all’

Once, a kingdom of the rough
Now, a place for the soft and the tough
Once, a kingdom of the lame
Now, a pretty woman, Luzon was her name

This one was truly a man
Typhoons he destroyed with his hands
He might own an Archipelago of islands
But his past was very bland

He was the king of the Archipelago
Who killed the darkness with a bolo
Now, a man with power, talents, and arts
Visayas was dear to the people’s hearts

A man with different personality
Strong, brave, and rough was he
He never lost a fight
His deeds to the land were truly right

Though he had very different culture
He was always one with nature
No savage he did not kill
Mindanao, a man of steel

Now, I stopped daydreaming
And never felt neglect anymore
I am the Pearl of the Orient Seas
Long Live the Philippines

Liberated Woman

Liberated Woman long poem

The Thorn that was struck in my foot is now removed I am now fit to dance to my very own tunes Henceforth none can stop me from dancing as I AM now like a bird flying free and henceforth
