Distant Memory

Distant Memory short poem

A strong feeling but fading thought
An internal battle of something that was lost
The sadness sweeps across my body and heart
It’s hard to accept I’m a memory, in the distant part
But once I claimed your heart
It’s true time is a killer, a slow one of course
A distant memory, I am and can’t believe
I let you slip through my hand with ease
I live in the past as I move through the future
There’s no present time for the torture I endure
A distant memory, I fade with time
My thoughts linger keeping me alive
We disconnected on many levels
But some stayed intact
Mainly the hurt I caused and some love
But I’m here now in the future, to make it the present, to right the past
To make that distant memory, a vivid one with a few twists instead
A regaining thought and strong feeling
Will I still be a memory that’s distant?

Distant Apart short poem

Far beyond the ocean breeze Where my tiny hands fail to reach I see a light so warm and bright A soft breeze touched my face Gave a soft warmth that I could feel Far away I heard a voice

Memory Walk

Memory Walk short poem

Wanted to visit old lanes for a mocking bird. A luminous proxy wanted to play a game. Treachery flees from the trees and settles on the white wings of flying swans. No logarithm will stop to watch the invisible numbers
