Drop by drop the water falls down, Down on earth with a giggling sound. It makes the ground cool and soft, And nourishes the life on earth, The patter and dripping sound of rain, Brought joy and pleasure in me. The sweet smell of newly drenched earth Made me to jump out from my shell. I tilted my face catching the first drop of rain, As it started to fall on earth. I opened my mouth for a fresh catch inside. It soothed my burning thoughts inside, And filled my heart With pure flow of blood. My body is fully drenched and mind is cool, I invite the gentle rain once again, To hug me and take to the wonderful world of joy.
