Rain

Rain short poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

Sweat flowed like river in the scorching Son
The dried up tongue thirsting for water
The dirty body begging for water to bathe
Uncooked food waiting for water

Cries of people for water rent the air
People begged the rain God to show mercy

Rain god seems to have shown pity
Thick black clouds emerged over the horizon
People down under saw Thunder and lightening emerging up above
War between the two erupted over the skies

Heart breaking sound enacted from the heaven
lightening squeezing out amidst thick clouds
in the midst of dark clouds rain squeezed out to fall

Rain drops touching the ground was like a gentle kiss from the heavens
Drops of rains slowly ballooned up to fall in bulk in full force

people on the ground danced and drenched in the pouring rain
A festive like atmosphere got created every where

Rain at last brought tears of joy amongst the people
People realised life without rain is living a life of dead
