Awake

Awake short poem

Yonder the horizon
A red dawn rises
Into the gorges’ deep
Over peaks of old
Into my hearty throbbing
Waking love into a wingless flight
To seek again for my heart’s
Ever longing shine

A blaze of yellow light alight the sky
A path onto which my love
Traverses with songs of the wind
Beyond mists and shadows
Towards the radiant timely light
Without wings, to lands unkempt
Beyond home and over
Into the breezing dusk

Prancing flowers in vibrant flicker
Silver streams in voiceless spill
Fireflies with fiery torch
Along with the day’s slumber
Into tender abode they retreated
With lullabies of the stars
My ever seeking love returns
From whence it came
