Privileged short poem

Some people always feel life lets them down,
Maybe if they’d stop they would see,
Just because I don’t wear a permanent frown,
It doesn’t mean life’s been kind to me.

I find it’s the ones who always complain,
Are the ones who just don’t have a clue,
The ones who’ve never gone through real pain,
If they did I don’t know what they’d do.

They seem to feel bitter like they have “the right”
To demand the life that they choose,
Responsibility they always fight,
They don’t realise to win you must lose.

Things are not easy but I’ve come so far,
And you won’t ever hear me complain,
I’ll even say thank you for every scar,
They’re a sign I survived all the pain.
