To The Ex-muse

To The Ex muse short poem

Uploaded by Biswajit Majumder

Once, eyes did spoke for the inner being
Then, gestures spoke and the grin,
Her words filled our vacant spot
Then, actions did what words could not.
Hoped to stay like this forever and ever
With you in me, me in you, will part never.

Oh! Dream was that of golden streak in a dark cloudy day
Of caring and cuddling each other through Life’s way.
Hope and Dream that torn and broke, said: ‘Nothing’s forever!’
Perplexed my mind and heart said: ‘Mine was she Never!’

Solved the sums, spying done, at last waited at every turn.
Hoped, we will meet and you will greet for the remaining run.
But silence of mid-sea, is all I can see; you have forever gone.
All can I say: ‘Muse take thy hues! I need not. I’m forever done.’
