Other Childhood

Other Childhood long poem

It was my childhood,
Beyond those memories,
When I cross,
I get to see that ocean,
That never came out,
Out of those boundaries,
Boundaries of lashes,
Lashes hiding behind,
Behind all those smiles,
Smiles that were meant to cry,
Cry beyond my needs,
I close my eyes,
To see it live,
To see my childhood,
That was played around,
By those hands,
Hands of foes,
Foes who recall me of poisonous breaths,
That I had taken,
To move on,
To move on to the height,
From where I can see it,
See it and then sigh!
Strange!
But not weird!
I can see those days,
Days that were meant to play,
That were meant to taste soil,
That were meant to chuckle in her lap,
That were meant to be loved,
But those foes,
Foes of my childhood,
Planned to ruin it well,
Ruin it without asking me,
As if they had got freedom,
Freedom to cage me,
Now I look back,
Back to seek experience,
Experience of that devastated soul…
I look back…
Back to wipe my own tears…
As no one was there to wipe them…
I do dream to erase all these stories…
Stories of my childhood…
That got carved on my soul…
But then I hold back…
As I recall those days…
When we used to erase those mistakes…
Mistakes in notebooks in red ink…
Then erasing with all possibilities…
Even spitting to erase it…
Or even trying tears too…
And then stopping…
Stopping when whole page is gone…
Destroyed,
No more in existence…
No more there…
While all this I remember,
I stop dreaming to erase those stories…
Stories of my childhood…
Created by my foes…
Carved on my toes…
And while I walk ahead…
It reminds me before I go to bed…
Nothing is so strange…
Every childhood is not sweet…
Some struggle from very beginning…
Those are the real heroes…
And those souls are always winning…
Winning the battles…
Battles that were never won!
