All I want is a purple sky

All I want is a purple sky short poem

As I feel the breeze on my face,
my tired brow at ease,
I think of all I’ve done so far,
of all that doing needs.

Of exhilaration I wish would last, of joy that could kill…
Of the love inside my spendthrift heart, of eyes that dreams could fill.

Holding on to an apparition,
I carve the one I want to be,
I force my mind to give up for once,
And let surprises come to me.

Keeping close to my wonder-walls,
I’ll hum a bit, I’ll whisper and woo…
Hoping for a purple sky,
and some warmth for life to brew.

Gently stirring sunshine smiles,
I’ll make all bitter leave…
glowing bright until I burn,
a firefly is all I want to be.
