Call Me Perseus

Call Me Perseus short poem

Well I’ve got high hopes that
When I cross the river Styx and
Land on your island you will look
On me with favor in your eyes
Like a diamond in the rough
All I have is a heart of gold
But what else can you ask for
If you’ve been searching for
Someone to love…
Almost like Perseus your demons
Do not scare me one little bit but
But I think you’ve gone and cast a spell
On me how else could I lay here
With you under the shadow of this golden
Magical tree and never want to leave
Well it’s like I am suspended in a world
Of ecstasy…
Are you some kind of nymph left over
From the days of Cronos dancing the
Ancient dance of criticism and fertility
Well you don’t know what
That does to a young man like me
‘Cuz you are doing things to me I’ve
Only dreamed about in my wildest
Fantasies but if you’re looking for
Someone to love call me Perseus,
Call me Perseus!
