D-day In One’s Life

D day In Ones Life long poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

It was a phone call most unexpected
mystique and warmth was in the call
I just could not believe it can be so
for I was away travelling in Air far away

Requesting me for a surprise visit the next day
to make her husband shake his head in disbelief and
to be a part of celebrating the sixtieth year
of his birthday in all splendour and grandeur

The spirit behind the call
The warmth of togetherness
The bond within the family
could be felt by hearing the mere call

Wife and daughter putting their heart and soul
to make the event a suspense thriller
makes it look like an epic in the making

My sudden appearance on the horizon
made the birthday boy lose his self
albeit for a short while

The joy and happiness on the
face of the mother-daughter duo
when they accomplished their goal
has to be seen to be believed

Dedicated was she, the daughter ,
her preparing variety of birthday cake
showed how much she loved her dear dad

The decoration and the arrangements
to mark the sixtieth Birthday of her Dad
was itself a treat to watch

The Love and affection
The taste and the variety
of the food she prepared
speaks volumes of the
concern she has to her husband
and the hospitality she showered
on the pals of her better half

As the candle was lit
the sound of birthday song
reverberating in the air,
showering of the petals
spreading all over the body,
Blowing up the candle and
cutting the cake and forcing
the piece of cake into the
mouth of the Birthday boy
was itself an event etched in
the minds of those present

All in all it was a dream come true
event which all thoroughly enjoyed
and for which credit should go to the
reverberating duo of mother and daughter

Age of Sixty may be a milestone and it was the
genuine wish of all those present that the
birthday boy conquers more of such milestones
and score a chance less century to be
applauded by his great grand children in the
years to come

Oh my friend , My heart felt wishes on your
sixtieth Birthday and may you Live a long life devoid of
any health issues, devoid of any hurdles and live Life
full of fun and frolic

The Fight For My Life long poem

I’m a prisoner -A prisoner of my mind. I can’t be free. I can’t be me. Locked in by anxiety, interrogated by insecurity, and depression is barricading the door. With no room to breathe, I can feel my lungs collapse
