The Wait

The Wait short poem

How I love this tunnel stretch

The darkness

This speeding train

The sounds

This blindness and the wait

For the light to emerge slow

And the bright skyline

In the end

Everything dissolving

Into the expanse

Among trees and valleys

Mountains and rivers

If only I could fly

And feel the space,

The freedom,

Stretch beyond limits!
