Clare short poem

It all began with a simple hello
And, she gazed towards my direction
Her bright eyes met mine, ours lit in unison
All along, I never believed diamonds could describe eyes
And yet, in that instant, how wrong was I
One gaze into the almond shaped windows of her soul
I found a warm, welcoming, illuminous glow
Her spirit was nourished with the essence of youth
As if I could see the petals of a camellia, slowly opening
The delicate, velvet fronds curl out one by one
Under the golden blessings of du soleil
As one notices the colour gradient,
Progressing from white to powder pink to gentle rouge
Matching the blush on her cheeks, cherry blossoms in full bloom
She was the personification of the pleasant spring
Like there was candle illuminating her soul
If everyone has a colour matched to his character
Then hers would undoubtedly be a rich shade of strawberry
The shade for her, Claire, the amalgamation of joy and beauty
