Two Blessings

Two Blessings short poem

The patter of feet
The scatter of toys
The laughter at playtime
My precious boys

Two tiny bundles
An expression of love
Two tiny blessings
Granted by above

Two matching trikes
Side by side
Counting the numbers
As they hide

The family expands
Over the years
Games fill each day
No room for tears

For two young boys
Two puppies yap
Jumping excitedly
Into their lap

Days come and go
Filled with joy
Two little angels
My little boys

They minded their conversation, The ants that came marching in. Extra sugar. A little less cream. The foam from their latte circled their mouths, Disfigured steam still rising from their small cups. A light comfort found after a hard day’s
