Been to the beach?

The wind there screeches

They say, and oh

The sea has stopped its dreadful roar

Shall we go and see?

the sea, it cries, moans and sighs

No storm in sight and

yet, the birds and flies fly lost in fright

Could it be?

Our Lord, His sky and sea

Are dead, no more.

He drowned with the life that was washed ashore.

(In memory of little Aylan Kurdi)

I thought it belonged to only I, But you have claimed it for yourself. You say I should hurry up and die, That I’m only good for killing myself. I don’t wish to hear you, But you stole my hands.
