My Shadow

My Shadow short poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

Whereever I go
there you follow

When in the morning Sun rises
you follow me with your height
growing taller then mine

As the Sun moves up at noon
you would walk by my side with
your height shrinking in size
and getting smaller then mine

With the Sun setting in the evening
you start over taking me and
I begin to follow you from behind

In the Darkness of night
You get merged in my body
and we together go to sleep

As long as I am alive
you will be sure to survive

When I leave the world
The very moment
you will disappear
from the world

Oh my dear shadow
I am ever grateful to you,
for you were the only one
who had given me company
through out my life
both in Adversity
and diversity and
was there with me
till I breathed last

a wonderful poem on our only companion forever……….till we go to the grave, the shadow, i wonder why it vanishes……may be to wait outside the grave to become the shadow of our soul, a very wonderful observation of how the different shapes our shadow takes but it never leaves us for a single moment…….wonderful poem …….liked every bit of it………best regards
