Dreams prose poem

Uploaded by DJj Suresh

Even the sweetest darling dreams
At times act as terrible antagonists
And scare me to death
Like the phantoms haunt a deserted castle
Oh my God !….Please help me…huhuhu….
Am I not akin to a deserted castle?
The castle where the emperors were
The palace where the ravishing queens were
Ripped off their enviable titles?
The royal abode where a princess
Lost the apple of her eyes
Like Eve loses her Adam?

I do fall asleep soundly
I travel far and wide
I navigate all the oceans and more
At times, Mahishasurs and Lucifers chase me
I run for life
They torture me, and eventually hurl me
Into an abyss

Sometimes I behead all
The horrible ten-headed demons with my
Omnipotent sword in my hands
I conquer all the kingdoms
I am crowned the monarch
Out of the blue
Of the entire cosmos
The entire creation,
And all the universes
Like my dear Hindu siblings
Call ” Chaudha Bhuwana”

How fantastic to be
A magnificent dreamer !

I wake up bright and early
With all my kingdoms gone
No crown, no scepter
No royal pompousness
No movers and shakers
All around my throne
And my natural crown
Calls this a harsh reality

I do swear, however,
I assure you, however,
Dream of conquering Mt.Everest everyday, every night
Dream of exploring the new galaxies
And new constellations
Dream of building your own
Big kingdoms
Dream of touching the sky
Dream of plucking the treasures
Lying at the bed of the Pacific
And you shall taste the apple
Much more delicious
Than the one ripe
In God’s garden.
