We didn’t do this!
Believe me, please!
We warned them instead.
They didn’t know our tongue.
We tried to stop them verily.
But still they went on.
The place is not good.
We don’t even think of going!
This is like an agreement, Sir.
And we don’t go there even in daytime.
Our hunting grounds are far from there.
Long, long time ago,
Nine men had lost their lives.
They were from our village.
Every child knows this here.
We do see lights in the night sky-
It is once in a blue moon. So,
We don’t care much about that.
Lights have never harmed us here.
As you know, we never trespass.
Yes, it’s there, very much there!
I have heard it making sounds;
Well, we all have. I’m quite sure,
You’ve never heard such noises.
Oh yes, its footprints in soft snow!
We try to avoid those spots strictly.
Yes, we have some guns now.
But you can’t kill it with a gun-
That is what we all believe, Sir.
Few of us have seen it in the woods.
They say, it moves quickly out of sight.
The form has haunted them for days,
In thoughts, in dreams and reveries.
You better not go there, Sir. Please!
