A Missing Memory

A Missing Memory short poem

Uploaded by Akash Sagar

Ooh.! Daddy…
I’ve never known you,
Never ever owned you;
And the word ‘Father’,
Would always remain to haunt;
As an unresolved riddle to me.
Like a missing memory in me.

Although I grew already,
Seeing somebody, so much like you;
On the reel life televisions,
In real life relations.

All these days,
I’ve heard and read;
About someone always like you,
Listening on the Radio-sets;
Reading in the news papers.

Ooh.! Dad before I die,
I wanna feel you once;
Fill up a blank space.
Once wanna’ live like a Son,
Be a rising Sun;
For a dead Father.

Ooh.! Daddy,
I’ve never known you;
Never ever owned you,
Like a missing memory in me;
