Just Freedom

Just Freedom long poem

Uploaded by Viswas Menon

When lips seek lips to quench a thirst
of passion…
Freedom slackens a knot in its belly
and gasps!!!

When limbs entangle in an embrace
of abandon freedom..
comprehension gets drowned
in the deluge of an emotional erotic
Freedom between consenting adults!!

When an unwed mother sings a
lullaby…Freedom sleeps
a blissful sleep in the cradle
of her lips verging between
tears and joy!!

When the tiller plows his land
sprouting dreams of freedom
from debts and loans…
the Sun scorches
through the broken Ozone
barrier of a smart city project
built on a land acquisition ploy..
the clock ticks out the seconds
of its life from his crops…

Freedom commits suicide
on the headline of a newspaper
and journalistic Freedom
debates the death of a son of the soil
on prime time national television
where rival party spokespersons
freely throw mud from the
farmer’s land on each other….
Freedom goes digitally viral!!!

When multiple blasts of rebellious terror
stemmed from misguided Freedom of frustration
scatter smithereens into the heart of a metropolis….
Freedom bombs itself as shrapnel that implant
in the flesh of an anguished society that seek
justice of vengeance…

when Freedom goes on trial
Freedom to be heard..
Freedom to defend…
Freedom to appeal..
Freedom to seek mercy…
drag on for ages to culminate
in a hangman’s noose!!!
Freedom has won…or has it?

When Freedom gets slapped on one cheek,
it turns and displays the other cheek to be
slapped on in a free land where the mind
has the Freedom to pen its thoughts
on Freedom!!!
Freedom is just …a belief
Freedom is just ..a trust
Freedom is just a Freedom
to handle Freedom

Freedom is You!
Freedom is Me!
Freedom is Us!!

Freedom is a slave in the hands
of humanity!!

Dear Viswas Menon…….what can i comment, i am rendered speechless…….this is not a poem, this is a complete revolution to shake the entire humanity……..the thoughts poured out by you leaves every one of us to ponder what is freedom, is it just penning few thoughts freedom of a nation or something much above all this…….. you have given a totally different meaning the very word “Freedom” in your own unique style of writing……..regards

I Plead, I Just Want To Feel Alive. long poem

Sometimes, I just want to fly away and sit by a coast dotted with tiny creeks and gaze at the pebbles sleeping peacefully at the bottom of the stream while drenching my feet in water as pure as an infant.

Just Once long poem

Clinging to fragments of memories, I search for love here and there, Walking the shores of eternal hope, But I sink in the sea of despair Just once, let me hear love speaking In a language known to no ear;

Just Trust…

Just Trust... short poem

I Just Want You long poem

I think of you for countless hours Your fragrance is of thousand flowers And when I look into your beautiful eyes It feels you are the real, Everything else lies.. At the times of sorrows and despair Your sweetest words
